We're Tomers & Jochem.
Like you, we both came to Santa Maria in search of adventure and a new way of life. Relocating is never an easy undertaking, and relocating to a small island in the middle of the Atlantic is an even bigger one. We discovered first hand that a lot goes into setting up life here, in this magical paradise.
Through the years of living here full time, through trial and error, we have built a resource of information and local knowledge that we use daily to help others.
Some of the more common questions are: what are the winters like? Which part of the island is “best”? What is the process of purchasing a home and why are the prices so vastly different?
Whether it is a light introduction to life on the island, or more specific information that you are looking for, we’re here to help you with every step of the process.
Deciding which spot on the island suits you best, navigating the bureaucratic sides of buying or selling a home, obtaining licenses, Airbnb rentals & AL’s, and exploring the different options that you have for renting, buying or building your home.
Most of our clients have become friends, or vice-versa. The most important is helping people feel connected to the island, its community and the unique life which follows.

In Portugal it's very common for real estate agents to only show you their own listings and most will not volunteer information that’s not part of their listings.
This means that they will always represent the selling party and not you, something that is very important to be aware of. We are here to change that.

Outside of this, we have a network of homes that are not officially on the market. Through our local connections we have multiple properties that are not yet for sale, meaning you can have direct access to some of the more unique homes, business properties and land available on the island.

Securing your dream home
Once a home or property is selected, we support you from first showing through closing, making sure all is legal, and that all documents and anything else in between is taken care of.
As soon as you're ready to make an offer, you can rely on our legal expertise through our partner Predimed. You can also rely on our local knowledge and support - attorneys, banks, municipality.
We help you prepare the offer and check all official documentation to ensure that your dream home is in fact a dream.
